Denim Tweed by Schachenmayr

Denim can be both casual and sustainable, and also especially nice to knit.
Denim Tweed, part of our MEZ Green series, contains predominantly recycled materials.
The cotton portion comes from textile scraps from denim production, while the polyester comes from recycled PET bottles. This mixture produces a yarn that contains small knots of colored fiber like those familiar to us from classic tweed fabrics. To provide the necessary stability and appearance, the yarn is wound with a soft polyamide yarn.
Working with this fine yarn requires a bit of patience, but your efforts will be rewarded, and the cool, comfortable feel of the fabric is sure to make these designs your summer favourites.
Not only is it super light; the footage is also very generous: only 400 g are needed for a women's jumper in size M.
