The first polyamides were synthesized by the chemical company DuPont Corporation, by the team led by chemist Wallace Hume Carothers, who began working at the firm in 1928. Polyamides such as nylon began to be used as synthetic fibers, although they have ended up being used in the manufacture of any plastic material. Aramides are a type of polyamides in which there are aromatic groups forming part of its structure. For example, fibers are very resistant to traction such as Kevlar, or fibers also very resistant to fire, such as Nomex, both sold by DuPont. This mixture achieves a ball that is as soft as it is resistant, which you can machine wash with cold water without easily spoiling.

Each ball contains 50 grams of weight and about 80 meters in length. It can be knitted with the 5.5 - 6 mm knitting needles. To knit a 10 x 10 cm sample with 6 mm needles, mount 17 stitches and do 24 laps. To knit a size 40 long-sleeved sweater you will need about 9 balls. Machine washable at a maximum of 30ºC. Not suitable for tumble dryer use. It is recommended to dry horizontally without hanging. It can be ironed at a maximum of 110ºC.
