The composition of Katia Neon Wool is

50% acrylic 50% cotton. Acrylic is characterized by its softness and lightness to the ball, while cotton will make your clothes comfortable and light. Cotton is a vegetable textile fibre that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant, a bush of the genus Gossypium, which belongs to the Malvaceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions, there are different species indigenous to America, Africa or India. The word cotton is derived from Arabic (al) qutn. Cotton is the most important natural fibre produced in the world, its importance began in the 19th century with the industrialisation process and today it still represents almost half of the world's consumption of textile fibres. Not all the species of the genus Gossypium have commercial value, the fibres are obtained from the seed of a few species, the length and thickness of the fibre depend on its origin.

The characteristics of Katia Neon Wool are

Each ball contains 200 grams in weight and 800 meters in length. To make a sample of 10 x 10 cm, mount 25 stitches and work 21 turns. It can be worked with 4 - 5 mm knitting needles or 3 mm crochet. To knit a shawl you only need 1 ball. It can be machine washed at a maximum of 30ºC. Not suitable for tumble drying. We recommend drying horizontally without stretching. It can be ironed at a maximum of 110ºC. This ball is made of cotton and acrylic, and is perfect for making garments or accessories for the spring-summer season.
