It is a ball of 150 grs. of printed wick wool. Lanas Katia Galilea has been created from a mixture of wool and acrylic, and presents a combination of different colors in a single ball. Lanas Katia Galilea is a ball composed of a combination of wool fibers and acrylic. This wool is perfect for weaving very warm garments and accessories for winter, as the mixture of these two fibers will manage to maintain your body temperature on the coldest days. With this ball you will be able to weave a soft and delicate garment with the most sensitive skins, so it is ideal for the whole family. It is a wool with a marbled effect, with the thread twisted on itself. With just a ball, you can weave an incredible colorful scarf.The composition of Katia Galilea Wool is
52% wool 48% acrylic. Wool is a natural fibre obtained from sheep (goats and, mainly, sheep), and other animals such as llamas, alpacas, guanacos, vicuñas or rabbits, through a process called shearing. It is used in the textile industry to make products such as sacks, blankets, gloves, socks, sweaters, etc. Wool products are mostly used in cold areas because their use maintains body heat; this is due to the nature of the material's fiber. The classification of wool is made taking into account a series of characteristics, of which the most important are: fineness, length, regularity in the degree of curling and uniformity, resistance and elongation, elasticity, flexibility, color, shine and performance. The world production of washed wool is around 2 million tons, with the main producers being Australia, Argentina, China, United Kingdom, the dissolved Soviet Union, New Zealand, South Africa and Uruguay. This mixture of natural and synthetic fibers get a ball of wool of good quality, very soft to the touch and pleasant on all types of skins, as it will not sting. Acrylic is a material very similar to natural wool, so you will not notice any difference to the touch.The characteristics of Katia Galilea Wool are:
Each ball weighs 150 grams and is about 450 metres long. It can be knitted with 3.5 - 4 mm knitting needles or 4 - 4.5 mm crochet needles. To make a 10 x 10 cm sample with 3.5 mm needles, mount 28 stitches and work 21 turns. With just 1 ball you can make a shawl or a scarf. Machine washable at a maximum of 30ºC and with the delicate cycle of the washing machine. Not suitable for tumble drying. We recommend drying horizontally without stretching. Can be ironed at a maximum of 110Cº. It is ideal for filling your wardrobe with colour and for knitting very warm garments or accessories for the autumn and winter season.
