In 1924 the name "rayon" was adopted and it became known in Europe as "viscose". rayon is a very versatile fibre and has the same properties in terms of comfort of use as other natural fibres and can imitate the feel of silk, wool, cotton or linen. The fibres can easily be dyed in other colours such as red. Rayon fabrics are soft, light, cool, comfortable and very absorbent, but they do not isolate the body, allowing perspiration. Depending on their presentation, a distinction is made between so-called filament rayon and short-fibre viscose. Each ball contains 50 grams in weight and 105 meters in length. It can be worked with 5.5 - 6 knitting needles or 5.5 mm crochet. To make a 10 x 10 cm sample, mount 37 stitches and work 18 turns. To knit a size 40 short-sleeved sweater you will need about 8 balls. Hand washing is recommended. It cannot be put in the dryer. We recommend drying horizontally without stretching. It can be ironed at a maximum of 110ºC.
