50% Cotton 50% Acrylic. Cotton is a vegetable textile fiber that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant, a shrub of the genus Gossypium, belongs to the Malvaceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions, there are different native species in America, Africa or India. Cotton is the most important natural fibre produced in the world, its importance started in the 19th century with the industrialization process and today it still represents almost half of the world consumption of textile fibres. Not all the species of the genus Gossypium have commercial value, the fibres are obtained from the seed of a few species, the length and thickness of the fibre depend on its origin. This fibre mixture gives it that soft, matt-looking finish. Cotton is a natural fibre, very resistant, soft and very fresh, which is ideal for the hottest seasons.

The characteristics of Katia Alabama Wool are

Each ball contains 50 grams in weight and 105 meters in length. It can be worked with knitting needles from 3½ - 4 mm. 6 balls are needed to knit a size 40 sweater. To make a square of 10 x 10 cm, mount 19 stitches and work 20 turns. Machine washable up to 30°C with short spin cycle. It is suitable for ironing at a maximum of 110ºC.
