Knitty Pop by Lanas DMC
It is a colorful ball of colored wool that combines different colors that are degraded along the ball, which creates a very funny multicolored finish. Its strand is fine but very resistant, as well as warm and soft. The garments woven with this wool will give you a pleasant feeling of comfort when wearing them. DMC Knitty Pop is a wool composed of 100% acrylic fibers, soft to the touch, fluffy and mottled, as it combines different colors along its strand and degrades in whitish tones. Its strand is composed of 3 twisted strands that form a single consistent thread of fine thickness. In addition, its touch is super nice: soft, warm and warm. It is available in different nuanced models with which you can weave countless projects for the autumn - winter season, such as blouses, collars, scarves, hats, mittens, blankets, sweaters ...The composition of the Knitty Pop wool from DMC is:
100% acrylic The acrylic fibers that make up this wool are of high quality, so they will resist machine washes, dried and ironed at low temperature without suffering damage. Acrylics are the most similar to wool. The fibers for carpets seem to be wool and the fabrics for baby seem to be made of wool, but they are softer and their care is much simpler. The sweater, the challis and other fine fabrics can be reproduced with acrylic fibers. The cost of fabrics and garments made with acrylic fibers is similar to good quality wool, but they are especially suitable for people allergic to wool. The first acrylic fibers produced frying (pilling) and the garments were stretched and folded (instead of shrinking, like wool) but these problems were solved by using appropriate structures in the threads and fabric. Acrylics can be ironed, they also have the ability to develop a potential for latent shrinkage and retain it indefinitely at room temperature. Acrylic fibers are not as durable as nylon, polyester, or olefin fibers, but for garments and domestic uses their strength is satisfactory. The first orlon was produced in filament form with a resistance almost as good as nylon. The resistance of acrylics to dyes and the high production cost limited their use in these end uses. Later success was achieved using short fibers of lower strength. The acrylic fibers are soft. High volume acrylic fibers provide heat in lightweight fabrics. Acrylic fibers have good resistance to most chemicals, except strong alkalis and chlorine-based bleaches. Acrylics can be dry-cleaned; in some garments the finish is lost and the fabric will feel rough. These fibers are resistant to moths and fungi. Acrylic fibers have excellent resistance to sunlight. The characteristics of DMC Knitty Pop wool are:
Each of its balls has 50 grams of weight and approximately 140 meters in length. Due to its thickness, it is recommended to knit with 4 mm needles, both knit and crochet.
