The composition of the DMC Sunrise wool is:

100% Acrylic. Acrylics are the most similar to wool. The fibers for carpets seem to be wool and the fabrics for baby seem to be made of wool, but they are softer and their care is much simpler. The cost of fabrics and garments made with acrylic fibers is similar to good quality wool, but they are especially suitable for people allergic to wool. Acrylics can be ironed, they also have the ability to develop a potential for latent shrinkage and retain it indefinitely at room temperature. Acrylic fibers are not as durable as nylon, polyester, or olefin fibers, but for garments and domestic uses their strength is satisfactory. The first orlon was produced in filament form with a resistance almost as good as nylon. The resistance of acrylics to dyes and the high production cost limited their use in these end uses. Later success was achieved using short fibers of lower strength. Acrylic fibers are soft and can sometimes cause allergies or hives in the contact area of ??the garment. They have a density of 1.14-1.15 g / cc, which makes it much lighter than wool. The humidity recovery varies from 1.30 to 3.0%. High volume acrylic fibers provide heat in lightweight fabrics. Acrylic fibers have good resistance to most chemicals, except strong alkalis and chlorine-based bleaches. Acrylics can be dry-cleaned; in some garments the finish is lost and the fabric will feel rough. These fibers are resistant to moths and fungi. Acrylic fibers have excellent resistance to sunlight.

Each ball contains 100 grams and 285 meters. Its thickness is recommended for knitting with knitting needles or 4 mm crochet hooks. To make a square of 10 x 10 centimeters with Sunrise DMC wool, you must assemble 22 stitches and work 28 laps. It is suitable for machine washing at maximum 40ºC. It can be ironed at a moderate temperature and preferably without steam. It is allowed to use dryer for this wool.
